Our History
Tortoises & Turtles Market is a business predicated upon an enthusiasm for reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. These fascinating creatures are appreciated by a small percentage of the overall population, and that’s who we serve.
Meg has been with us for over eight years, and is a deeply valued member of the Backwater family. She processes all the orders and runs customer service in its entirety. She’s in charge of, well, everything.
Her expertise, cheerful attitude, moral compass, and uncompromising work ethic means she’s a leader at our company and a pleasure to have as an employee.
She’s taken a real liking to some of her eight-legged critters and is really enjoying raising her young antilles pink toe, “Manson.” She also cares for a ball python at home, which her whole family enjoys.
